The mandate for the church is to be made holy without spot or blemish (Eph. 5:27).
This requires the church to interact with the Word of Christ in a myriad of ways.
Gospel communities are designed for this purpose.
Formulated by region, these groups connect members with themselves, neighbors, and the community; putting to practice the fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) while being ushered to good works (Eph. 2:10).
This is initiated through 3 main concepts: family, disciples, and mission.
- Family: Truly engaging with one another beyond surface superficiality thus becoming closer and more transparent throughout time. This transpires as we interact with one another through various seasons of life with their accompanying sensibilities and circumstances.
- Disciples: Members are not only taught things about the Word but live it out in a community of people with different backgrounds, ideologies, ages, seasons of life, etc. than their own; identifying within each individual the image of God.
- Mission: Accepting and embodying the call that Jesus gave to us; becoming witnesses of His glory to all those around us; utilizing the multi-faceted manner that He has gifted us.
Thus we become: “A family of disciples on mission”
